David Brown is a Toronto-based artist known for his luminous encaustic wall sculptures and abstract figurative work. A graduate of OCADU, he combines drawing, monotype printmaking, and sculpture to explore the human form and its relationship to memory, time, and place. Brown’s practice often integrates found materials and layered wax surfaces to create depth and resonance, transforming architectural and figurative references into tactile, glowing compositions. With over 30 years of experience in art and design, his work is held in private and institutional collections across Canada and internationally. He has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows throughout North America.
