Ela Ashby

Ela Ashby (b. Montreal) is a self-taught artist based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Her work explores a life-long fascination with light and the effect it has both on our environment and our being. Many artworks come to her in a dream or staring across the ocean, as if materializing from a great expanse. Her hope is to capture the feeling of light, air, and everything in between.
