Marianne Sung
Marianne is a self-taught Korean-Canadian artist. Radiating warmth and light, her art is intended to evoke a sense of magic and nostalgia. Her nature paintings reflect themes of identity and interconnectedness, highlighting the importance of community as a means for sustainability. Just as trees and flora thrive through mutual support and communication, her works underscore the symbiotic relationship between humans and the environment. This emphasis on ecological preservation is particularly poignant in the context of climate change.
Marianne has exhibited at the Artist Project contemporary art fair and the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. In 2025, her artwork was selected for Art with Heart charity auction for Casey House. Originally from Montréal, Marianne graduated McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce. She subsequently earned her CPA/CA designation while working in auditing and management consulting before pursuing her passion for art. She now enjoys living and staying creative in Toronto.
